Mary graduated from Butler University’s Physician Assistant program in 2006 and has worked in family practice, emergency medicine, disaster response, and urgent care prior to her start with Beacon. Extensive experience caring for individuals, families, and communities enduring traumatic events compelled her to sharpen her clinical focus on the psychiatric component of human wellness. She is committed to tending all domains of life, addressing the impact of physical, psychological, spiritual, and relational stressors on mental health.
Mary works primarily with adults aged 18 and above, and manages anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and sleep disorders. She has special interest in treating trauma and stress-related disorders and is currently working toward a PhD in trauma psychology and crisis counseling. She strongly believes in educating to empower people to understand the various mechanisms behind their symptoms, and offering strategic, holistic avenues toward healing.
She has experience working cross-culturally, and is passionate to serve others engaged in global healthcare work, emergency and disaster response, foster care/adoption and family trauma, and those who serve in a relatively front-line capacity in other medical, psychological, and spiritual domains. She is equipped to integrate Christian spirituality into therapy according to the patient’s desires. Her patients’ progress toward hope and wholeness brings her great delight.
